Five Rivers MetroParks Creating Wetlands Preserve
In January Five Rivers MetroParks exercised an option to purchase 359 acres of undeveloped land at the northeast corner of Little Richmond and Lutheran Church Roads. Acreage previously owned by B & B Investments.
Five Rivers MetroParks intends to transform the site into a wetlands bank facility, which will serve as a wildlife preserve to attract indigenous plant and animal species. This project is expected to be fully underway in 2009.
