Salem Avenue Corridor Beautification Well Underway
In 2007 the City received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for streetscape and beautification improvements along the Salem Avenue Corridor from Curundu to Turner Road. As part of these improvements scattered site landscape improvements have already been made at four separate sites along the Salem Avenue Corridor's frontage.
In addition the City will also be making streetscape improvements at the northwest corner of Salem Avenue and Turner Road. These improvements will consist of pedestrian pavers, landscape installation and Southern Trotwood Gateway identification signage. Enhancements will also include streetscapes featuring ground-mounted up lighting as well as other types of site illumination.
