Salem Avenue Corridor Redevelopment
Today Trotwood enjoys nearly 150,000 consumers within five miles of its Salem Avenue Corridor. We are currently working hard to restore its hometown charm, character and pride. While many opportunities still exist, much of the vacant, highly affordable and readily available City-owned real estate along the Corridor has already been redeveloped. Recent success stories include:
• Sears, Home Depot, Lowe’s Target, K-Mart, Value City, Best Buy, MC Sporting Goods, Office Depot
• New roadway intersections, streetscapes, sidewalks and landscaping
• New Walgreen’s, White Castle and Family Dollar built on redeveloped sites
• Highland Plaza retail center fully renovated from former K-Mart site
• Nenonene Medical Center beginning construction on former movie theatre site
